Read about our unique 10-step exterior painting (coating) process below!
Step 1: INSPECTION
PROCEDURE: Being organized is very important to us. Prior to starting any work, we take a thorough walk around the property to compile a materials list as well as ensure that the proper work will be completed by visually inspecting every inch of the surface that is to be painted. Perhaps most importantly, we use the initial inspection as an opportunity to take note of any visible damage (such as cracks) that we will need to pay special attention to fixing prior to applying the coating.

Step 2: TRENCHING
PROCEDURE: We dig a trench around the perimeter of your house to expose its foundation.
RESULTS: We take care of your entire house – not just the visible parts. Trenching inhibits capillary action of ground moisture into the walls. Taking this extra step eliminates costly repairs from decay and erosion of the foundation. Trenching also eliminates sight lines, ensuring beautiful results.

Step 3: HYDRO-BLASTING
PROCEDURE: Using 3,500 psi of water pressure, we wash down your entire house.
RESULTS: Hydro-blasting removes dirt, stains, loose paint, surface mildew, algae, and foreign substrates as well as reveals surface areas in need of repair or patching. Hydro-blasting also provides a clean, tight surface that will permanently bond the primer and coating to the substrate. In addition, hydro-blasting reveals minor surface defects and major problems that would be hidden by traditional “quick fix” paint or color coating methods.

Step 4: SANDING, PATCHING & REPAIRING OR REPLACING WOOD
PROCEDURE: During this stage, surfaces are scraped and sanded down. If any wood needs to be patched or repaired, it is done with Remo-Build. Wood that is damaged by dry rot or otherwise beyond repair is replaced.
RESULTS: All wood on your home is like-new and the coating has a solid surface to adhere to.

Step 5: PATCHING & REPAIRING OF WALLS
PROCEDURE: Any deteriorated walls are prepared and patched using proprietary bonding components that are specially formulated with bonding and patching materials. The proprietary bonding agents ensure proper adhesion of the patching materials to the wall.
RESULTS: This patching/repairing process corrects surface defects caused by efflorescence and failing stucco, creating a sound, uniform surface for the coating. This fixes the problems that are present on the surface in need of coating and does not simply cover them up like with other painting methods.

Step 6: MASKING
PROCEDURE: Surfaces not being coated or that are being coated a different color later are covered, masked, and detail taped. This can include doors, windows, landscaping, lawns, patios, walkways, pools, roofs, and neighbors’ properties.
RESULTS: Masking prevents overspray of the coating material and creates a professional, beautiful result.

Step 7: APPLYING PRIMER SEALER – THE FIRST COAT OF PROTECTION
PROCEDURE: Using duty equipment at pressures up to 3,500 psi, primer is sprayed on thick. After the primer is applied, the house is thoroughly inspected for proper thickness and a uniform appearance.
RESULTS: The primer creates a thick, armor-like surface that provides lifetime protection of the original exterior masonry or wood surface. A uniform textured or smooth appearance is assured during this step.

Step 8: FINAL COAT OF PROTECTION
PROCEDURE: The final coat is applied using an airless sprayer. This special application process assures even distribution of color coating for a beautiful surface. Our lifetime coating contains revolutionary IR reflective pigments and is applied using 100% acrylic coating, which meets Federal Specifications TTC555B.
RESULTS: Our coating provides energy savings, reflectivity, and lowers the temperatures on the surface of your house up to 40°. The bonding with the textured or smooth primer forms a second barrier of protection from the sun. The heat-reflective properties allow all colors to “act as if it were white”.

Step 9: TRIM COATING
PROCEDURE: Our proprietary trim coating is applied.
RESULTS: This step gives a lasting beauty that stands up longer to UV rays compared to ordinary trim paint. Our coating product is warrantied for as long as you own your house.

Step 10: CLEAN UP & FINAL INSPECTION
PROCEDURE: At this last step, we make sure everything is completed and do a thorough cleanup at the completion of every work day. Job-related debris is hauled away, masking is removed, and lawns/shrubs/other surfaces are cleaned of any debris. At the completion of the job, the final inspection is performed by both you (the homeowner) and the crew foreman.
RESULTS: Your house is left tidy, clean, and beautiful.
